axona aichi

A leading company in environmentally sustainable contract furniture, axona AICHI is a Japanese brand that has created functional and aesthetically pleasing products since 1939. The brand's early success came from manufacturing connected chairs for movie theatres and later producing seating for universities, schools, and community centres. In the 1970s, axona AICHI introduced the world's first folding table on casters and the first stacking chair made of stainless pipe, and the company has won the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award 135 times.

The brand's Tipo chair, winner of the 2011 Red Dot Design Award in Germany and the 2014 Green Good Design Award, is a prime example of beautiful, eco-friendly design. The chair, designed by Taku Kumazawa, is made from 100% recycled materials that can be 100% recycled again, making it an innovative and sustainable seating solution. Kumazawa is also the designer of the CTZ flip-top table and winner of the IF Product Design Award in Germany, which sets new standards for a lightweight and portable meeting, conference, and training room tables.
